Headshot of therapist, Valerie Medina, at Spring EOP offering person-centered and culturally responsive care.

Valerie Medina, LMFT

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in both California and Colorado with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. I am passionate about increasing access to mental health care and creating inclusive spaces where individuals from all backgrounds feel seen, respected, supported, and understood.

My approach to therapy is grounded in person-centered and culturally responsive care. I believe that effective therapy begins by meeting clients where they are. Together, we work to identify grounding and supportive approaches while establishing stability and safety in the therapeutic process. I strive to create a collaborative environment where clients can explore their experiences, reconnect with their strengths, autonomy and move toward meaningful change.

I have experience supporting individuals navigating trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and substance use concerns. My work focuses on helping clients build insight, develop coping tools, and strengthen resilience while honoring each person’s unique story, identity, and cultural context.
