Alexis Adelsberger, LPCC
Hello! I'm Alexis (they/them). I prioritize trust, collaboration, and client autonomy and believe in the potential of the therapeutic relationship as a primary agent for change. Humility and compassion form the foundation of my approach, which is depathologizing, intersectional, trauma-informed, and acknowledges the impacts of systemic oppression.
I approach therapy holistically and use evidence-based modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to provide tailored treatment to each client.
I work with diverse clients across the lifespan to embrace their authenticity in an emotionally safe and grounded therapeutic environment. My experience is with clients navigating anxiety, depression, identity development, codependency and/or attachment trauma, self harm and SI, substance use and recovery, LGBTQIA2S+ and polyamory/nonmonogamy, and single event and/or complex trauma.
I hold an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs with an emphasis in addictions and am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in Colorado under the supervision of Kelley Harrow, LAC, LPC, SEP, ACS, and Steven Willson, MA, LPC.
When I'm not in session, I enjoy gardening, mutual aid, and live music.
