We provide training and fieldwork opportunities for students pursuing careers in counseling, psychology, addictions treatment, and psychiatric nursing. Our placements are designed to foster growth in trauma-informed care, mental health, and substance use recovery while supporting students in meeting their academic requirements. Interns gain hands-on experience through individual, couples, and group counseling, as well as training, consultation, and employee assistance services.
Students work with individuals, couples, and families to promote mental health and resilience. Clinical experiences may include supporting clients with substance use disorders, family and marital issues, parenting challenges, stress management, self-esteem, and recovery from trauma. All services are approached through a client-centered, trauma-informed lens, with awareness of family systems.
Eligible Student Disciplines
We offer training and fieldwork placement opportunities for students in the following academic programs:
Counseling
Addictions Counseling
Clinical Psychology
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Program Calendar
We accept new student cohorts three times per year—Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Exceptions are available for students on quarter-based academic calendars, which should be noted in the application.
Commitment and Compensation
This is a tiered paid employee position, with compensation that reflects training and responsibility. Students are encouraged to remain for the full duration of their placement to ensure consistency for clients and allow for the best clinical growth. Exceptions may be made when academic program requirements or personal circumstances require flexibility.
